Air Duct Cleaning

Air duct cleaning is done to remove unwanted debris that is lurking in the air duct system. Air Duct Systems located in a residential home are recommended by National Air Duct Cleaning Association to be inspected every two years.  An air duct system should be cleaned every 3-5 years depending on the contamination with in your home or building i.e. animals in the home, number of people in and out, smokers vs not, ext. JCS Home Services follows all cleaning methods set forth through the National Air Duct Cleaning Association.

To start the process the team will need to see where the HVAC system sits. If you have more than one (1) we will need to go to each location. Once we have determined your systems location we will need to see each area of the home where registers are. See pricing below.

Our process includes a two or more person team.

We will bring in our machine system (Dubbed “Cotton”) where we will stage as close to the HVAC system as possible. From that location we will connect a connector hose to the duct system by making a 8″ – 10″ hole. The hole will be patched with like material after air duct cleaning is completed. The hole allows access to the inner workings of the duct system. We will need access to each room where we will cover each register and grill with a special film. This film allows us to both seal system from contaminants while also keeping areas in the structure clean while cleaning is taking place.  Special items like sleeping areas, baby items, T.V.’s or other important items will be covered as needed.
After the entire duct system is cleaned, a detailed inspection will be done to ensure the quality of our service has been met per JCS Home Services standards.

The standard air duct cleaning process will take between 2 1/2 hours to 3 1/2 hours per system. This estimated time is just that of an estimate, It could take longer or less times depending on the needs of the area we are working in.

Things to know to make sure we are providing the most accurate estimate:

  1. How many indoor units do you have? These are located in attics, crawl spaces, basements and closets. You can also count your outside units to get this number.
  2. Is Air Duct Cleaning the only service you will be needing? Special discounts are applied for more services done while on site like Dryer Vent Cleaning, Chimney Services, Gutter Cleaning or Pressure Washing.
  3. What is your service location?
